Tracey Marriott, tutor

Prior to training with Birthlight, Tracey had seven year’s experience of working in Day Nurseries, where she specialised in caring for children under the age of two. In addition to her Baby Yoga and SMART training, she holds a GNVQ Adv in Health & Social Care.

During her own pregnancies, Tracey enjoyed Birthlight antenatal classes, and continued her practice with both of her young sons in Baby Yoga and SMART. Recognising the value of this approach, Tracey decided to train as an instructor. She assisted in the production of training materials for the SMART course, by demonstrating movements with her sons on DVD and for photographs in the training manual, and has supported Melanie during local training sessions for other teachers.

She brings a wealth of professional childcare experience to her classes, along with her gentle mother’s perspective and understanding.

Tracey has run successful classes in Newmarket and Linton, and also provides demonstration sessions in postnatal groups, nurseries and coffee mornings by special arrangement.

Melanie has worked with hundreds of families over the years, and also trained many new teachers in the UK and abroad in her capacity as a Birthlight Tutor. Birthlight Classes Newmarket has enjoyed very positive associations with local midwives, health visitors, holistic practitioners and others working locally with pregnant women and young families.
